Professor Mick Reilly OAM, PhD, MBA, MSc (IS), Grad Dip Bus (HRD), Grad Dip Resource Man, BA FAICD FIML - Deputy Chair, NQ SPARK

Mick is an experienced leader, manager and consultant with a key interest in helping high performance teams improve their capability and is currently the part-time Executive Director of NQ SPARK. He supports the Army Combat Training Centre (CTC) as the Director of Learning and was a key innovator in developing and operationalising the CTC 2025 futures concept and in supporting the performance coaching of teams in high-pressure situation.

His PhD is titled ‘Improving Performance in Teams: After Action Reviews in Army Combat Training’. Mick is the Professor of Practice (Defence Industries) at James Cook University and is a graduate of the ADF Command and Staff College, the AICD Company’s Director Course and has several other academic qualifications.

Mick has led several commercial and for-purpose organisations including as the President of the Townsville Legacy, Board member of Townsville Enterprise Limited, and President of the Townsville Chamber of Commerce. He served in the military in a range of full and part-time roles for over 35 years including several operational tours in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan.
