The Project
The North Queensland Simulation Park (NQ SPARK) will deliver simulation capabilities to support science, defence industries, health/medical, emergency response and research capabilities at its high-tech facilities, supported by the Federal Government, Townsville City Council, James Cook University and the Queensland Government.
Detailed in the business case supported by the Townsville City Council and the Queensland State Government, the NQ SPARK Simulation Precinct will be developed in two stages. The Federal Government has provided the initial funding of $32.2 million to progress Stage 1 of the project - centered on the development and construction of an Advanced Environmental Simulation Facility (AESF) and commercial facilities.
NQ SPARK will work to support and strengthen high performance teams as they learn, adapt, and succeed. Through world leading innovation we will create resilience in Northern Australia in support of our communities.

Our facilities enable the conduct of immersive, realistic training and education in a simulated environment. This training is enabled by state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure, powered by organic High-Performance Computing.

Education
Training without a learning and performance focus is futile and at NQ SPARK we employ expert debriefing and feedback techniques with cutting-edge technology to ensure both teams and organisations, disciplines, maximise their learning.
Test & Evaluation
Strategically located in the north and in the tropics, NQ SPARK offers partners and clients High-Performance Computing enabled, tenant and storage opportunities (temporary and permanent) in the perfect T&E facility in Northern Australia.
